Group Visits
Bring your crew to the Challenger Learning Center of Northeast Alabama! Group visits offer exciting, interactive experiences for schools, community organizations, and professional groups. Work together on space-themed missions, explore STEM learning in action, and make memories that are truly out of this world.

BOOK A GROUP VISIT

Teachers and students will soon be able to schedule unforgettable learning adventures at the Challenger Learning Center of Northeast Alabama! We will want to share our process with you so that you will be prepared as soon as our portal opens!

To reserve your experience:

  1. Select the dates/times that work best for your classes.
  2. Challenger staff will reach out to the you—the teacher.
  3. Challenger staff will work with you to select the appropriate mission and STEM experience that aligns with your classroom goals and objectives.
  4. We will ask that you submit a student roster before arrival.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each visit can accommodate up to 70 students. To ensure every student has a hands-on experience, groups will be divided in half. Up to 35 students will begin their day in our Mission Simulator, while the other group takes part in two STEM experiences.

After a break for lunch, the groups will switch so that every student enjoys both the mission and the STEM activities. A typical field trip for a group of 70 lasts between four and five hours.

Pricing depends on the size of the group, the length of the visit, and the programs selected. We are currently finalizing our field trip and group visit options so that we can offer high-quality STEM experiences while remaining as accessible as possible for schools and community groups.

We do not want cost to keep a school from reaching out. If you are interested in bringing students to Challenger, please contact us at info@challengeral.org, and we will be glad to talk through available options.
